Sonora, CA - T.U.D. reports that paving work will cause 5-10 minute traffic delays today. GT Construction Inc., under the direction of TUD, will be paving along Green Street and Linoberg Street today from 7:30am - 4:30pm. You are encouraged to avoid the area while the work is underway.

Traffic controls in place at bridge project; Expect delays on the vital paved route connecting Sonora to Groveland and Yosemite

Caltrans contract worker José Bobadilla stood on unshaded asphalt Tuesday afternoon in heat warmer than 90 degrees southeast of Chinese Camp to stop motorists headed farther east up to Groveland and Yosemite.

One-way traffic controls went into effect Tuesday for the $20.8 million project to upgrade James E. Roberts Memorial Bridge on State Route 120 in Tuolumne County, and the traffic controls are expected to remain in place for the duration of the project. Completion is hoped for by Thanksgiving 2017, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Oregon Senator slams 'Monsanto DARK Act 2.0,' calling it a special interest nightmare that abolishes consumers' right to know about GMOs

Under the cover of darkness, just hours after Hillary Clinton was handed a get-out-of-jail-free card by the FBI for committing felony crimes, the Senate quietly voted 63-30 to preempt state law in direct violation of the Tenth Amendment.

Senator Jeff Merkley wasn't afraid to call a spade a spade in the aftermath of the treasonous vote, which was further buried in the news cycle by Obama's latest attempt at race-baiting in order to abolish the Second Amendment. Merkley told the media that the so-called Roberts-Stabenow Bill, also known as the Monsanto DARK Act 2.0, is a farce, and will do nothing to protect consumers who want to know what they're eating.

Physicist Blows Whistle on Microwave Weaponry

The age of wireless technology, ubiquitous microwave transmissions and countless cellphone towers have transformed the planet in profound and fundamental ways.

If the people of the world truly understood the deleterious effects of these unseen and unfelt frequencies, they would have abandoned their cell phones and bluetooths decades ago. It has been proven beyond any doubt by the best science available that certain types of electromagnetic radiation can have highly damaging effects on the human body. Likewise, when animals and plants are exposed to these fields of harmful EMR, they too suffer great consequences.

The Supreme Court Just Created a Full-Blown Police State

The Supreme Court ruling in Utah v Strieff awarded the police total freedom to stop any citizen, at any time, to do whatever they desire.

The Supreme Court determined that the "poisonous fruit" of a police officer's stop of a citizen can be used against them at trial. This has wiped out, in reality, any constitutional protection you thought you had. This is a sad day for the United States, for the Supreme Court has officially created a full-blown police state and clearly has no intention of honoring why this nation began the entire American Revolution - to prevent illegal searches that allowed the king to look for anything he could use to prosecute citizens.

The Truth About Grassfed Beef

A lot of people today, horrified by how animals are treated in factory farms and feedlots, and wanting to lower their ecological footprint, are looking for healthier alternatives.

As a result, there is a decided trend toward pasture-raised animals. One former vegetarian, San Francisco Chronicle columnist Mark Morford, says he now eats meat, but only "grassfed and organic and sustainable as possible, reverentially and deeply gratefully, and in small amounts." Sales of grassfed and organic beef are rising rapidly. Ten years ago, there were only about 50 grassfed cattle operations left in the U.S. Now there are thousands.

As Americans Argue Over Which Bathroom to Use, 3 Nuclear Disasters are Unfolding Inside the US

As the debate over which bathroom an individual should use based on their sexual identity heats up, we are witnessing the ignorant and brash nature of state enforcement of these edicts come to a head.

It is not only a distraction and a means for the state to get involved in your bowel movements, but it paints the trans and gay community in a negative light by asserting there is some sexual stigma involved in relieving one's bladder. The end result of such obstinate legalese clouding the minds of the public is going to be state violence initiated against individuals who have caused zero harm.

Murdered boy's father settles with Fresno County in CPS lawsuit

The Fresno father who sued the county after his son's death has now settled the case. Joseph Hudson claimed Child Protective Services mishandled the case and allowed his son to die.

It took seven years to get to this point, and Hudson said it's taken a toll on him beyond just what he suffered when his son was killed. Now, he intends to use the money he's getting to create a place where they'll train mandatory reporters to prevent child abuse.

Oxygen levels in some of the world's seas are dropping

Climate change is not only a major issue in the world today, but we are beginning to experience the results of the change at a seemingly alarming rate.

New research on oxygen levels in the world's oceans has just been published, and with sea waters warming, it was noted there has been a drop in the oxygen levels in a number of oceans. This is not good. The consequences of a warming ocean are already being seen, in the bleaching of our coral reefs, particularly Australia's Great Barrier Reef. We have also seen the die-off of innumerable sea creatures due to the warming waters encouraging the growth of toxic algae and the northward movement of many ocean creatures looking for colder waters.

13 natural remedies for the ant invasion

Ants are making their way into homes this time of year. Thankfully there are natural pest control methods to help you cope with and eliminate the problem.

Little tiny ants have been spotted in our new home, and many people are suffering the same fate across the country. As much as I love spring, I don't like bugs - especially bugs that can infest a house. Last week I asked for some advice on how to deal with ants naturally as I didn't have time to research it myself since I just moved this weekend.
