Spring Showers…

It had been trying to rain for days. When it finally cut loose, we saw a river running down the middle of the road, where only moments before we had tiny balls of hail coming down hard. We certainly weren’t expecting hail.

The weather has been going nuts. We had thunder shortly before it began hailing. We could still get some snow tonight. It was 49 degrees at 11:00 p.m., and it’s been a constant temperature most of the evening.

I’m keeping an eye out on my plants. I haven’t had to water them all week.

The guys spent the day at The Farmory (MPO) and I was wore out from our trip to Modesto yesterday, so we decided on pizza — quick, easy, no fuss, no muss. I think everyone in the county had the same idea.  The Twain Harte Pizza Factory was packed! I don’t think I’ve ever been told there was a 50 minute wait. Wow! They do have the best pizza in the county. (No, it’s not organic.)

Gee, I wonder if the powers that be are letting it rain because we’ve called them on it? I’m just so thankful for the rain. Just beware the rain will be dumping radioactive particulates on us, so it is important to cover up when you go outside if it’s raining. Since Fukushima, we are really careful because the government isn’t giving us enough information. Though I have to admit that even if they gave us more information, I wouldn’t believe anything they have to say.
