The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is hosting Trout Fest at Moccasin Creek Hatchery on Saturday, April 12th, from 9am to 1pm.
Trout Fest provides a hands-on opportunity, for all ages, to hone their fishing skills, learn about trout and the local hatchery.
Activities include knot tying, rigging, casting, cleaning fish, trout tasting, fish prints, trout touch pool, fly tying, dissection, aquatic insects, games, science activities and displays.
All activities are free and all equipment is provided. Actual fishing is limited to kids 15 years and under.
Moccasin Creek Hatchery is located at 15300 Hwy 49, at the junction of Hwy 49 and 120.
