We have snow! Overnight temperatures have held steady at 35°. We have an inch or two of accumulation. It’s going to be a cold, wet day in Twain Harte. The roads are wet but ice shouldn’t be a huge problem for morning commuters to the valley or the bay, since the temperature hasn’t dipped below freezing yet.

I intended to post a weather update before I went to bed around 2 a.m., but when I came back inside I totally forgot. I try to provide regular weather and road condition updates on Facebook – especially when the weather gets a bit nasty.
You may wonder why I take the time. I remember when we lived in Modesto and then in Citrus Heights, we would leave out after work for a trip to Twain Harte and then on to Sugar Pine, but we never knew what condition the roads were in. It wasn’t always easy to even find out what current weather conditions really were. Weather services don’t actually have a monitoring location even remotely near Twain Harte. So, I post to help others who might be able to avoid hazardous roads, with just a little help. So, let me be a little a help…
