Who Let the Dogs Out... in Twain Harte?

If you are looking for something fun for the entire family,  head on up to Twain Harte Saturday, April 24th, 2010. From 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for a fun-filled Family Day complete with a parade.

Bring the family dog, too! Sorry, but the dogs took a vote — no cats allowed. Dogs rule! Cats Drool!

The Twain Harte Business Association & Soroptomists International of Twain Harte presents, “Who Let the Dogs Out… in Twain Harte???”

Organizers have ordered lots of warm air and sunshine for the occasion. The fun begins at 11:00 a.m., participants with their canine companions will trot through downtown Twain Harte at noon (participants are requested to donate $5.00 proceeds to benefit the Humane Society of Tuolumne County.

Additional activities include:

  • American Kennel Club Agility Course
  • Obedience Training Demonstrations
  • Music 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • Human Howling Contests
  • Dog Contests
  • Humane Society Petting Area
  • Adopt-a-Pet Booth
  • Earth Day Booth
  • Meet local Therapy Dogs in person
  • Fun Booths – all day
  • Hot DOGS and Food Vendors

Please note: All dogs must be on a leash. Aggressive dogs must be muzzled.
BYODWB (Bring your own doggie waste bags.)

    I tried to write a poem for this event but it was a huge bomb. Maybe you can help me fix it.

    So pack up the family, and hit the road.
    Stop in at IHOP for pancakes, eat them thick or thin.
    Prepare yourself for a beautiful drive,
    to downtown Twain Harte,
    Give a howl if you can.
    So, dress up the dog.
    Round up the kids,
    Make it a day, you will never forget.
