Today was a glorious day here in Twain Harte. The weather was perfect, reaching a high of about 86° here at our house. We had a little bit of rain around noon-time, which didn’t last too long but was very refreshing.
I received terrific news from CJ at Dardanelle Resort, their kitchen has passed the final inspection and will be opening tomorrow — July 1st. Just in time for their big shindig over the July 4th holiday.
This week has been a scorcher here in Twain Harte. The pool has been hopping. A new business appears to have opened at the site where The Mug once stood. I’ll be paying them a visit soon to see what’s available.
Weather.com said it was supposed to be 102° here yesterday but my thermometer said it was 103° yesterday and again today. It’s days like this I wish we had central air but that would be a total waste of money.
Fortunately, here in Twain Harte we only really need air conditioning for two or three weeks out of the entire year. I’m so glad we installed a mister on our deck, it’s held up for three years now and really cools things down on these hot summer days. They have professional quality misters available at OSH in Sonora. Last year that had a wide variety of misting items available at Twain Harte Lumber as well.
