We been promised snow but I have to tell you it’s not looking good. Currently, it’s 37° but it feels like 25° it’s really cold out there probably because the wind is blowing. The humidity is 61 so, it could go either way. The air feels kind of heavy I can’t see (because it’s dark) the sky above so it’s anyone’s guess right now.
According to Ryan Campbell at the Union Democrat:
Forecasters say snow level could drop to 1,600 feet Wednesday
National Weather Service forecasters issued a Winter Storm Warning for the region this morning, saying rain and snow as low as 2,600 feet are all but certain late tonight.
More of the same is forecast for Wednesday — with a 100 percent chance of precipitation and snow down to 1,600 feet. While flakes may fall, little or no snow accumulation is forecast in the foothills.
I’ve got a fire burning in the wood burner and I’m going to hope and pray for snow. It will probably start around 4:00 a.m. I’ll let you know. Drive safely, slow down the roads maybe icy in the morning.

Unfortunately, those snow seekers will have to drive a little higher than Twain Harte. The snow is almost all gone in Twain Harte, but just a few miles further and you should find all the snow you want.
The hotel at Black Oak is under construction.
Hotel Could Open This Year
Tuolumne, CA — If everything stays on schedule, Black Oak Casino could open its new hotel by the end of this year.
Black Oak Casino General Manager Ron Patel was Friday’s “Newsmaker of the Day”.
Construction crews have been moving plenty of dirt south of the main casino entrance and have started the hotel’s foundation.
There have been 35 reports over the past few months of burglaries in the area: Twain Harte, Soulsbyville, Sonora and Tuolumne. Anyone will any information should contact Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Departmentn at 533-5815.
Have a nice weekend.

It started raining about midnight, just a sprinkling at first. It’s now 2:00 a.m. and it’s coming down hard but it’s not regular snow, it looks like little tiny pellets.
My Motherlode reports:
High Wind Watch Issued For The Sierra Nevada
Breezy winds, rain and mountain snow will return to northern California overnight tonight and Wednesday morning.
Snow levels may even lower into the Mother Lode, however, only a light dusting is expected.
Up to half a foot of snow accumulation is possible in the highest elevations.
We could end up with a power outage, so it’s good to know that a lot of people up here have invested in a generator cause they may get the chance to use it.
My thermometer says its 42 degrees outside – supposedly its 39. So, bundle up, stay home tomorrow if you can.
