Most of you will recall that spring officially began on March 20th. While the calendar might say spring — someone forgot to share that information with Mother Nature.

I am beginning to believe that the Winter of 2010, could well end up being remembered as the winter that wouldn’t end.

My husband was right on the money, when he predicted the snow would begin falling Sunday evening — it started coming down hard around 5:30 p.m. and continued to fall hard until around 8 p.m. or so. We had several inches of accumulation. I was fully expecting to wake up to a blanket of the white stuff covering the ground.

Not so. It was pouring rain this morning and continued to rain down buckets, until right about 2:00 p.m. today, when the snow started falling like there was no tomorrow. In fact, in the last half hour, we’ve had over an inch of snow fall and hasn’t shown any signs of letting up anytime soon.

I can’t help but laugh. We thought we were being so clever timing our pellet usage for our pellet stove, so that it would run out in perfect time for warmer weather and we wouldn’t have any bags laying around all summer. That didn’t work out so well for us, we ended up driving into town last night to pick up a few more bags. We are expecting snow all week long.

I think this winter could run right through until fall if this keeps up, then start all over again. So much for global warming, we don’t have any signs of it here in the Motherlode. The snow plow just ran through…again. I’ll try to snap up a few pictures for the site.

I just love the snow! It doesn’t show, does it?
